Namej Early Life

Namej was born in Ibadan, south west Nigeria.
Nigeria.

His parents hail from northern Nigeria, while his father is from the south.
His mother is from Kano State ( Hausa : Jihar Kano) and he comes from Kontagora, Nigeria State.

Namenj’s parents moved to Ibadan from where they lived in Sabo, the Hausa community, where Namenj was born.

He received his primary and secondary education in Ibadan. Namenj was a child who discovered music as a hobby, listening to Celine Dion and Dan Maraya songs. He can speak English, Yoruba, Hausa and Yoruba. Namenj is currently studying at the National Open University of Nigeria, Kano study centre.

Namenj began recording music in 2012. He began recording music in 2012, and he continued to record until 2015.
Recorded a cover in Hausa of Adekunle Gold’s hit “Orente”, which attracted much attention on social media.

Namej has been in the music business since he was a teenager.
